KMM Logistics Service offers transport of hazardous materials, also in refridgerated cars (temperatures between +25 and -25C). Our vehicles are geared with ADR equipment, and all our drivers are properly trained and have the mandatory licenses, needed for transport of hazardous materials. We’re licensed to transport all classes of dangerous materials, excluding class 1 (Explosive substances and articles), and class 7 (Radioactive materials). ADR is a European treaty concerning primarily the road transport of hazrdous material. The treaty was concluded in Geneva on 30th September 1957. The European Commission for Internal Transport was responsible for its development and publication.
Additionally in Poland a new bill on transport of hazardous wares of 19 August 2011 is in force, enforcing the 2008/68/WE Directive from European Parliament and Land Transport of Hazardous Materials Commission. The purpose od this bill is to eliminate or reduce the risk of an accident and possible damage. Such actions should not result in ban on transport, but the transport itself works under many rules and regulations.
All ADR laws are updated every two years.
The laws concern among others:
Rules of hazardous materials classification,
and methods of hazardous materials transport,
additional requirements for vehicles transporting certain hazardous materials, and the vehicle crew
Documents needed during the transport, and their issuing procedure.
The law for transport of hazardous materials enforces that the contractor and another subject transporting hazardous materials is obliged to supervise the procedures, and for that purpose appointing at own expense a licensed hazardous materials transport advisor. KMM Logistics Service hires such a person.
Our experienced drivers have all the required permits allowing hazardous materials transport in accordance with European Agreement on international road transport of ADR.
All vehicles are appropriately labeled and equipped with ADR kits, required to transport hazardous materials.
